Privacy notice

Contact form. Your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the subject and your message.

Emails and calls. What you send us when you contact us directly.

Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, date and page requested) for security and to keep the site running.

When you book online we keep your name, email, phone, country, notes, the details of the booking and the payment reference. We use them to run the booking, send you the confirmation, contact you about it and keep the records the law requires. The legal basis is the contract with you (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and our legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).

Card payments are handled by Viva Payments (Viva Wallet S.A.), which acts as an independent controller for the payment data. Booking records are kept for as long as Greek tax law requires, normally five years.

We use your details only to reply to you and to handle your request: to take steps at your request before a possible agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and keeping the site secure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not use your details for marketing and we do not sell or share them for advertising.

Messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for up to 24 months after our last exchange, unless the law requires us to keep them longer (for example, for tax records of a booking).

Our hosting and email providers, who process data on our behalf. We do not transfer your form data outside the European Economic Area ourselves.

Visitors’ pages set no cookies. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and no tools such as Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to accept or refuse.

Staff login. Only the Emirato staff page (/booking/admin/) sets one strictly necessary cookie, em_admin, which keeps staff signed in for 30 days. It is never set on visitors’ pages.

“I’m not a robot” check. Our forms and the online booking use a spam check built into this site. Your browser solves a small puzzle from our server. It sets no cookies and sends nothing to anyone else.

Google Maps. The map on the Emirato page loads only when you choose to show it. When it loads, Google receives data such as your IP address and may set cookies, under Google’s privacy policy.

Google reviews. Reviews and the rating of Emirato are shown from Google Maps. Our server retrieves them, so viewing them does not send your data to Google. Links to Google open Google’s own pages.

Card payments. Payment takes place on the secure page of Viva Payments, which may use its own cookies under Viva’s privacy policy.

If we ever add analytics or advertising, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.

You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and you can object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Write to coastnomads@gmail.com.
